Buddhism Classes on the Central Coast
Discover the ancient roadmap to inner peace and happiness
Central Coast Meditation Centre offers regular classes and workshops on Buddhism and its teachings. All levels of students will benefit from these classes as they deepen their understanding of Buddhist philosophy and learn how to apply it in their everyday lives.
Understanding the Four Noble Truths
One of the fundamental teachings of Buddhism is the Four Noble Truths: the truth of suffering, the truth of the cause of suffering, the truth of the cessation of suffering, and the truth of the path leading to the cessation of suffering. Practising and studying these truths will enable us to develop a deeper understanding of human nature and lead to a more fulfilling life.
Diving into the Various Practices
In addition to the Four Noble Truths, our classes cover a wide range of other topics, such as the Eightfold Path, the Five Precepts, and the Three Universal Characteristics of impermanence, suffering, and interdependence. We also discuss ways to incorporate Buddhism's various practices such as meditation, mindfulness and compassion into our daily lives.
Expert Instruction
Experienced and qualified instructors trained in the Buddhist tradition lead the classes. The teachers have all completed meditation retreats themselves and a Meditation Teachers’ Training course at Sakya International Buddhist Academy (SIBA) in Victoria, Australia. They are committed to helping students achieve their goals and improve their practice through personalised instruction and guidance.
Exploring Specific Topics
In addition to our regular classes, we also offer workshops and special events on specific topics such as Buddhist ethics, the history of Buddhism, and the different schools of Buddhism such as Theravada, Mahayana and Vajrayana. During these events, individuals of all levels of understanding can engage in more in-depth learning and discussion.
Creating a Welcoming Community
At Central Coast Meditation Centre, we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive community for individuals of all backgrounds. Our organisation's mission is to make the Buddhist teachings accessible to all who want to learn them.
Personalised Guidance
In addition to our regular classes and workshops, we also offer private one-on-one guidance with one of our experienced instructors. If you're interested in learning Buddhism or meditation in a more personalised way and want to understand it deeply, this is an excellent opportunity for you.
